The Great American Home Store offers several protection plans to ensure the wellbeing of your furniture through Montage Furniture Services. Through Montage, The Great American Home Store offers protection plans for individual pieces or same-upholstery sets.  Our combination plans cover multiple category purchases — all on one plan.

We have plans to cover fabric, leather and vinyl, wood, case goods, other hard-surface furniture, mattresses, and area rugs. A variety of coverage levels are available to protect your home furnishings against stains and damage.

Recommended Care

• Clean furniture on a weekly basis by vacuuming the cushions and adjacent areas.

• Fluff and rotate cushions to ensure wear is uniform and to prevent wrinkles and flattening of cushions.

• Avoid direct sunlight, extreme heat and cold and extreme dryness and humidity to prevent fading, brittle fabric, and general wear and tear.

• To prevent stains from setting, clean spills as soon as possible.

When cleaning upholstery, please refer to the manufacturer's tag to obtain proper cleaning codes. These codes will tell you what cleaning methods are recommended by the industry and how to appropriately care for your furniture.

Cleaning Codes

• W:  Vacuuming and light dusting recommended.  Spot clean with the foam from a water based cleaner.  Apply foam with a circular motion and a soft brush.

• S:  Clean with water-free or dry cleaning solvents only.  Clean in a well ventilated area.  Do NOT use water or products with carbon tetrachloride.  Professional cleaning recommended.

• W-S:  Clean with upholstery shampoo or with foam from water based solvents.  Clean in a well ventilated area.  Do NOT use water or products with carbon tetrachloride.  Professional cleaning recommended.

• X:  Do NOT use a foam or liquid cleaner of any type.  Vacuum or brush lightly to remove soil.  Water and solvents may cause damage to the surface areas.  Professional cleaning recommended.
